Security, built into the design

Moorgen locks combine several unlocking methods in one device. The methods available vary by model; each product page lists them separately.

Ways to unlock

Ten ways to open the door

Not every model offers every method. Please check the list on the product page.

  • Face recognition

As you approach the door, a 3D camera recognises your face, so you can walk in even with your hands full.

  • Palm vein

Reads the vein pattern in your palm. Because the pattern lies beneath the skin rather than on it, it is difficult to copy.

  • Fingerprint

Opens with a single touch of a registered fingerprint. Each family member is enrolled separately.

  • PIN code

With virtual PIN support, you can type random digits before and after the correct code, so anyone looking over your shoulder cannot learn it.

  • Card

Opens with NFC/RFID cards and key fobs; well suited to issuing cards in offices and hotels.

  • Mobile app

Unlock remotely, add users and view entry logs from the app.

  • Mechanical key

A backup key for when the battery runs out or in an emergency.

  • Remote control

Open without touching the door, using a remote on compatible models. The remote is not in the box; it is optional and sold separately.

  • Bluetooth

Unlock with your phone at close range; no network connection required.

  • Camera & display

See who is at the door on the indoor display and talk to visitors by video.

Protection

Against forced entry

  • Virtual PIN: random digits can be entered before and after the correct code
  • Lockout and alarm after repeated failed attempts (depending on model)
  • Low-battery warning; external power and mechanical key for emergencies
  • Separate administrator and user permissions
