About this product
A9 is a smart lock with an aluminium alloy body for glass doors 10–12 mm thick. It is clamped on without drilling the glass (10 mm glass is ideal) and works on left- and right-hand doors; you switch the opening direction in the settings without taking the lock apart. The front unit measures 185 × 70 mm and comes in black, champagne and silver.
There are five ways to open the door: fingerprint, passcode, card, the TTLock app and a mechanical key. The semiconductor fingerprint sensor recognises a finger in 0.3 seconds, and the lock stores 100 users. When you type your code you can add random digits before and after it, so anyone watching cannot work out the real code.
In the TTLock app you can create a passcode and send it to someone far away, set up timed or one-time keys and check the entry log. Opening the door remotely requires a TTLock gateway. The # key on the keypad doubles as a doorbell.
A9 fits these door types:
- Frameless double glass door
- Frame-to-frame glass door (frame at least 4 cm thick)
- Metal-framed double door
- Single-swing metal-framed door (with side lock or magnet plate)
- Glass or framed door sliding against a wall (with magnet plate)
The lock runs on four 1.5 V AA alkaline batteries. If they run flat, you can power it through the Type-C port to open the door, or use the mechanical key. Installation fees are set separately based on distance and city.
For shop and office glass doors
The A9 is mostly used at shop entrances and on the glass doors of offices and meeting rooms. Your phone connects to the lock over Bluetooth, and you open the door by tapping the lock icon in the TTLock app. From one account you can manage several locks, assign authorised admins and edit the stored fingerprints, passcodes and IC cards.

The A9 is made only for glass doors and suits glass 10–12 mm thick; 10 mm glass is ideal. The catalogue recommends it for sliding glass doors, and it can be installed on the right or left.
Do I need to drill the glass?
No. The A9 is clamped onto the glass without drilling. The ideal glass thickness is 10 mm.
What are the dimensions and body material of A9?
The front unit is 185 × 70 mm and the rear unit is 35 mm wide. The body is aluminium alloy, available in black, champagne and silver.
How does it open, and is there an app?
Fingerprint, passcode, card, mechanical key and app. The lock is managed with the TTLock app; remote opening needs a TTLock gateway. It has a display, a doorbell and an entry log.
How do I open the door if the battery runs out?
The A9 has a keyhole and a mechanical key, so you open the door with the key when the battery is flat.
Is installation of the A9 included in the price, and how long is the warranty?

Can A9 be fitted to a framed glass door or a metal door?
Yes. The catalogue covers frame-to-frame glass doors, metal-framed double doors and single-swing metal-framed doors with a side lock or magnet plate. For frame-to-frame mounting the frame must be at least 4 cm thick.
What if I forget to change the batteries and don't have the key with me?
The outer unit of A9 has a Type-C emergency charging port. Connect an external power source to it, then open the door with your fingerprint or passcode. Afterwards replace the four 1.5 V AA alkaline batteries.
What if someone watches me type my passcode?
A9 supports virtual passcodes. You type random digits before and after your real 6–12 digit code; as long as the correct code appears in the sequence the door opens, and an onlooker cannot tell which digits are real.
Can I give someone a door code when I'm not at the office?
Yes. In the TTLock app you can create a passcode from anywhere and send it to the person. Codes and eKeys can be timed, permanent, one-time or cyclic, and the app log shows who entered and when.
