The R5 is a smart lock for wooden doors, mounted on the inner surface of the door. Its features are the same as the V1: it opens by fingerprint, PIN code, card, the TTLock app and the mechanical key.
The app connects to the lock over Bluetooth; remote opening needs a TTLock gateway. Fitting and installation are charged separately, depending on distance and city.

How can the R5 be unlocked?

How do I open the door if the battery runs out?
Like the V1, the R5 can also be opened with the mechanical key. It also has an emergency power input: if the battery runs out, connect a power bank from outside to open the lock. Check the battery regularly and replace it promptly when it gets weak.
Can I open it remotely with the app?
The R5 works with the TTLock app over Bluetooth, i.e. near the door. Remote opening needs a TTLock gateway. Opening by fingerprint, PIN or card needs neither the app nor the internet.
What is the difference between the R5 and the R6?
Both are mounted on the inner surface of the door. The R5 is for wooden doors and works with the TTLock app. The R6 opens by fingerprint, code, IC card and the TTLock app, and has time-limited codes and an alarm.
Is installation of the R5 included in the price, and how long is the warranty?
