About this product
R6 is a two-part rim lock. The keypad front panel goes on the outside of the door, and the body holding the latch and battery box goes on the inside. No cables are run through the door; both parts are simply screwed on.
From outside you open it by fingerprint, code, IC card, the TTLock app or a mechanical key. Opening the door remotely requires a TTLock gateway. The key socket sits under a hidden cover on the front panel. From inside you just turn the knob on the back body. The lock has an auto-lock function and is driven by a quiet built-in motor.
To keep your code private you can use a virtual passcode: type your correct 6-12 digit code within a string of up to 24 random digits and the door still opens. If someone tries to force the door, the lock sounds an alarm.
If the batteries run flat, connect a power bank to the Micro USB port on the front panel and open the door. The body is black aluminium alloy. The front panel measures 179 × 72 mm and the inner body 167.5 × 88.5 mm.

Time-limited passwords
Besides your permanent code, you can create codes in the app that work only within a set time window. Once the window ends the code stops working on its own, so there is nothing to delete.
Fingerprint and copy-proof card
The R6 uses a semiconductor fingerprint sensor. For card access it uses a copy-proof smart IC card; you only need to hold it near the keypad, so older people and children can open the door easily too.

How can the R6 be unlocked?

What happens if the battery runs out?
R6 runs on 4 × 1.5 V AAA alkaline batteries. If they run flat, connect a power bank to the Micro USB port on the front panel, or use the mechanical key in the socket under the hidden cover. The battery box is in the inner body.
What alarm and app features does the R6 have?
R6 sounds an alarm if the door is forced. It has auto-lock and a virtual passcode; the cylinder is grade B, with grade C available as an option. The lock is managed in the TTLock app; to open the door remotely you need a gateway.
Is installation of the R6 included in the price, and how long is the warranty?

Does R6 need any wiring in the door?
No. R6 runs on batteries; the front panel and inner body are screwed to the door, so no electrical wiring is needed.
Can R6 be fitted to left- and right-hand doors?
Yes. R6 fits both left- and right-hand doors. The cylinder position can also be set to 50, 60 or 70 mm from the door edge.
What is the virtual passcode and how does it work?
You type random digits before and after your correct 6-12 digit code, up to a string of 24 digits. If the correct code is inside the string, the door opens, and anyone watching cannot tell your real code.
What are the dimensions of R6?

Can I open the R6 remotely with the app?
Yes, but you need a gateway for that. Without one, the TTLock app connects to the lock only when you are near the door; with a gateway you can open it from anywhere.
